"I was born in a town in the Rhodope mountains, a region of Bulgaria famous for the richness of its colors. Color has always excited me! As a sculptor, I have been interested in revealing the nuances and shades of metal.

I joined Axbro at a moment when I had just found a way of patinating aluminum. I usually work with frivolous shapes and rough surfaces, and I was very curious to see how my patinating technique could be applied to a more simple and rigid form: a cylinder, a square, a conе. Could I develop the theme of color in metal on a surface that is flat and ornament-free? What range of metal treatments could I use to bring to the surface different shades? I found it fascinating to merge art with an industrial object in order to create unique furniture legs. I started with aluminum and went on to experiment with brass and steel. The result was astonishing!"
